Covid-19 coronavirus policy

What's happening during the current coronavirus crisis.

This is a very difficult time for everybody, but we are accepting bookings -  just check our website for availability. According to current government protocols we can take bookings from the 12th April. however, this date may well change, so for now we are only taking provisional bookings for April and May, so please contact us first before you decide to book. Be assured that should the government declare a lockdown which would mean you'd have to cancel your holiday, we would refund all the money you might have paid us in order to secure that holiday.

We are doing our very best to ensure that Oakroyd has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized using a thorough deep-cleaning protocol which employs chemicals and equipment designed to destroy the virus. This all takes time, so we're asking that you don't arrive before 5.00pm and that you leave promptly, at or before 09.30am on the day of your departure.

We'll contact you before you visit to check if you or anybody in your party has had any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has. (It wouldn't be a good idea to come to Cornwall with symptoms of Covid-19)
There will be a supply of hand sanitizer at the front door for you to use when you enter and leave the bungalow as well as the usual soap and towels inside.

We regret to have to say that we're unable to supply face masks or gloves for your stay, so please bring your own, as shops and public transport require the use of face masks.

If you fall ill with any of the Covid-19 symptoms whilst you're in Cornwall, then we suggest that it would be a good idea to go home immediately if you (or someone in your party) can drive. If you are too ill too drive anywhere and have to stay at Oakroyd and self-isolate, then you would become liable for the full rental for the time of your stay, plus the rental of any guests who will lose their holiday as a result of your isolating at Oakroyd. We would supply you with bed linen and towels and would either give you contacts so that you could arrange to obtain supplies or medicine or we could arrange the contacts for you. It might be an idea to invest in holiday insurance that would cover you under these circumstances.
